Andrejs Braun

Biography

After graduating from Riga Stradins University in 2002, Andrejs moved to the University of Southampton as a visiting research fellow to study targeted cancer therapy and lymphoma biology. He continued his research at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, University of Manchester, where he obtained his PhD in 2009. Following this, he moved to the Beatson Institute in Glasgow as a postdoctoral researcher where he studied epigenetics of senescence and cancer with Prof. Peter Adams. Andrejs then moved to Barts Cancer Institute in London in 2014 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2017. With a number of high profile publications in journals like Nature and J Clin Invest, Andrejs has a citation count of >1800 and H-index of 18. His current research interests include epigenetic mechanisms of somatic mutations in normal and malignant B cells.
